280ZX Turbo

Owner wanted a unique white, something different than what Datsun/Nissan had been using.

It was originally Blue and Silver and had some mild front end damage. Used Nissan replacement body parts, hood, fender and bumper, front spoiler was also added.

Original paint was typical wear and weathered, mild dings and scratches.

1953 Pedal Car

The job came out so well that no rubbing or buffing was required.

One of my customers brought me a little challenge. It had scratches all over, some were cuts into the metal. It also had some heavy dents, the hardest being the top of what would be the hood. It was slightly caved in right where a pressed edge of a seem was. Even though the car was small, this took a lot of metal manipulation and finishing. This type of car's value is much higher with little to no body fillers applied.

As you can see the little car survived the surgery. I used a Dupont single stage ChromaOne,

GTO

I have always used base coat/clear coats, especially on metallic and pearl bases and usually always on blending damaged areas. Single stages have its application and I felt for basic black, it was appropriate.

My parents had a 1972 Lemans that would burn the tires at 30 mph and pop up to 140 mph like it was nothing. This inspired me to have one but had no luck. Then I ran across my GTO and man was I glad I did.

Other Dupont paints came out while I was still using Centari, like Cronar and ChromaOne. These were great paints but I found I could get a really deep underwater look with the Centari. But at last they discontinued the 2000 pack forcing me to use the others.
