Press Clutch Pedal Or Brake Pedal Warning Light
The Bulb Check: Press Clutch Pedal Or Brake Pedal Warning Light
On a Manual Transmission Vehicle, the press clutch pedal light is just a reminder that the clutch needs to be pressed in before the engine can be started. Once the engine is started and the clutch pedal is depressed, the light should go off and you can begin driving. This indicator light is usually yellow/amber in color.
For Automatic Transmission Vehicles, the brake pedal light is a reminder that after the engine is started, it alerts the driver that the brake pedal has to be pressed in order to shift out of Park mode. As soon as you have stepped on the brakes, the light should go out and will stay off as along as you are driving the vehicle. This indicator light is usually green in color - see above image.
